We’ve been busy lately! We’ve been partnering with Interactive Web Works to provide landing pages for a host of different offers to companies like Realty Trac and Position Marketing Group.  This is a totally different type of work from our web design workflow. I’m a minimalist and a layout freak so I’m used having a lot of freedom in my designs, but with landing pages, ad banners, and email creative pieces you have to crank them out quickly because there’s always some new offer to design for.

This has been quite a while in coming, but we’re ready to launch the website for Give It Twice, a non-profit company based out of Phoenix. Give It Twice wanted an auction site so they could sell merchandise (mainly antiques and jewelry). All of their proceeds go to Street Light – a ministry in Phoenix dedicated to eradicating the underground Sex slavery. To read more about Streetlight, go to Read more on Give It Twice…

I’ve been discovering a lot of new javascripts and techniques as of late. I decided that it was time to stop neglecting my own site and get with the times. This new WordPress theme for my site includes all of these new scripts along with a few of the great social media apps that we all love.
Oh yeah, and I also included a hat tip to the biggest change in my life lately – my boy, Luke(as seen on the front page). I decided to stop shying away from making my name and myself a part of the Fusion Web Technologies brand. People who use us do so because they like us as people and know us personally, not because we can do things so much better than the big guys out there!

HCG Healthy Weight Loss is a new, but quickly growing Valley business. Their product is amazing and I’ve personally seen people losing a ton of weight on the diet.

This is one of my latest efforts and I had a blast with creativity on this site. What sets this site apart is the use of special non-web standard fonts. Normally this would be a bad move because in order to use non-web fonts (boring fonts like Arial and Verdana) one would have to render them in images to appear correctly on any given website and this detracts from search engine visibility as Google currently can’t read text within images. I recently discovered a new script called Cufon, which uses Java to render a freeware font on a webpage so you’re still viewing plain text, but in a font that’s more visually pleasing. This makes for some spectacular visual possibilities for us WordPress developers. Expect to see some updates to fusionaz.com very soon!

Over the last month, we’ve launched two new sites with more to come!

Alex Fechete Stone

Alex Fechete is a contractor based out of North Phoenix who does high end stonework. He had a website built not too long ago, which was developed in Adobe Flash. Unfortunately, the web developer didn’t keep the flash source file for any of his image galleries! AF Stone wanted to add some new galleries and updated images of some of his projects, but was unable to due to the lack of foresight by his original site developer.
Fusion Web Technologies took his existing site design, converted his graphics from Flash to using a WordPress framework with jQuey plugins. Now, Alex’s company is able to add images themselves whenever they wish, quickly and easily. You can check out our work at: http//www.afstone.net.
